Meet Beggars boss Martin Mills

Martin Mills is definitely a commendable figure in the independent music business. The owner of Beggars Group, he has worked hard to develop this group from what was initially a record store called Beggars Banquet. Today, his group of record labels incorporates XL Recordings (home to Vampire Weekend, M.I.A, Radiohead and The Prodigy), 4AD (The National, Bon Iver), and Rough Trade (where do we start!), not to mention US label Matador.

So there is no doubt that Martin's role in the independent sector of the recording industry is huge. This is a really great interview with him, very insightful and interesting. Check it out below.
