Record Store Day a roaring success

The survival of our independent record shops is a cause very dear to a lot of music and vinyl lovers' hearts, so the celebration of annual Record Store Day is an important date in UK and US music fan's diaries. And this year's event has again succeeded in highlighting the wonderful record shops we have around the country and ensuring they do not become a thing of the past.

Independent record stores have been battling a continued struggle for survival over the past few years with hundreds falling by the wayside following the increase in download consumption, music piracy, not to mention the large chains and supermarkets chipping away at their sales. Long live Record Store Day!
