AIM Sync, the UK's global sync conference, returns for 2022

News: 4th November 2021 by Louise Dodgson under Music Publishing, Music Training & Careers

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has announced the first sessions and speakers of the UK’s leading global sync conference and marketplace, AIM Sync, which is returning for 2022 on 10 February.

The full-day online event brings in-house sync experts and leading music entrepreneurs together with prominent international music supervisors in film, gaming, TV, advertising, brands and more. Expert speakers will share insights on the current sync and brand partnerships landscape as well as offering masterclasses, listening sessions, and networking sessions.

Panel discussions and presentations will cover topics including: ‘Soundtracking British (TV) Culture’, ‘Tools for Sync’, ‘Sync across Europe’ and ‘Specialist Music in Sync’, all with valuable information to help attendees build effective approaches to sync. The day kicks off, as always, with a Market Overview presented by a leading sync specialist.

Networking opportunities give AIM Sync 2022 attendees the chance to make high quality connections, share knowledge, and generate new business. World-leading music supervisors and international buyers are connected with independent music businesses through one-to-one meetings and open networking sessions available to all attendees, with more planned than ever before.

Networkers are already confirmed from over 25 leading music supervision companies including 2WEI, Air Edel, BT Sport, CBS Studios, Plutonic Group Syncs, Wake the Town and many more. Between them, they have worked on globally renowned projects including Gladiator, Paddington 2, Les Misérables, Stranger Things, Normal People, Skins, People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan, The Theory of Everything, Star Trek: Discover, and Call of Duty. Their clients include brands such as Google, Disney, Netflix, Apple, Microsoft, Adidas, Coca Cola, PlayStation and Warner Bros.

‘Listening Sessions’ will give labels, publishers, artists, managers and more an opportunity to get real-time feedback on their music from music supervisors and brands, with detailed insight into what they need to get synced. Delegates wishing to take part can submit their tracks for the sessions from today until 29 November.

All AIM Sync ticketholders will be given a free copy of AIM’s Sync Guide, which provides readers with essential tips and knowledge on making the most of modern licencing opportunities.

Tickets are available now for just £60+VAT, with subsidised tickets for AIM members (Rightsholders, Distributors and Friends of AIM) available for £10+VAT. Associate Members and Community Friends of AIM can also purchase subsidised tickets for £30+VAT. Discounts are available for members of UK music trade organisations and friends of the event. They can be purchased via the website link below.

Details on how to sign up to networking sessions and submit to the listening sessions and AIM Sync Awards will be sent to delegates following their ticket purchase.

AIM Academy’s ‘How to Get Started in Sync’ primer session, for those who are beginning their journey into the sync world, will go on sale soon with details to follow.
