Roundhouse Unsigned is back and Studio 3 Arts are working with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham’s Roundhouse Music Festival to celebrate and platform local music talent in the borough, East London, Essex, and beyond.
Whether you play rock, rap, pop, punk, grunge, grime, hip-hop, house, or everything and anything in between, Roundhouse Unsigned is looking for bands and musicians who want to perform live in the borough and compete to win a cash prize and exciting gig opportunities.
Roundhouse Unsigned is open to solo artists, bands, and groups from all styles, all genres and all levels of experience. The winner will receive a £500 prize and the opportunity to perform a slot at a We Are FSTVL event and a headline slot at the new-look Studio 3 Arts venue (opening later in 2021). Entries are open now, due by 5pm on Tuesday 6th July!
Competition heats take place between 15th July and 5th August live at the legendary Roundhouse in Dagenham. Musicians that make it through will compete in the Live Final at the Roundhouse Music Festival on Sunday 15 August, 12pm-9.30pm at Parsloes Park, which takes place as part of the Becontree Forever Weekender. The previous winners of Roundhouse Unsigned, The Last Pirates, who won in 2019, will also be performing at the Live Final.
Celebrating the rich musical history of the borough’s Roundhouse pub which has played host to some of the world’s most famous rock bands (including Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Pink Floyd), the Roundhouse Music Festival is back for 2021. Produced by London Borough of Barking & Dagenham’s Summer of Festivals, other acts appearing on stage at the Roundhouse Music Festival include Boomtown Rats, Neville Staple from The Specials, John Coghlan’s Quo, and Totally Blondie.
