Women In Music 2015 will give women (and men!) the opportunity to hear from some of the music industry’s most successful and influential women, as well as the chance to meet, network and drink.
AIM Chairman and CEO Alison Wenham will open proceedings on the night. Alison has been one of the most influential executives in changing the all-male domination at senior levels in the music industry, and her many years supporting the independent music industry earned her an OBE in 2010.
The evening’s first interview will see British singer, songwriter and producer Nerina Pallot discuss her career with The Times’ Lisa Verrico. The Brit Award and Ivor Novello nominated artist has worked with artists including Diana Vickers and Kylie Minogue, and recently released her fifth studio album.
The evening’s talks will conclude with a panel discussion exploring the career paths of women from several different sectors of the music industry, including live, tech, radio and indie labels. The panel features women who are rising stars of 2015 as well as senior industry figures and asks “are we making progress?”
