Ticketmaster has held the power in the ticketing domain for a long time now, and since its merger with Live Nation it now has an even stronger handle on things. They have stamped out competitors left, right and centre. Will anyone ever come along to knock them from their throne? At the moment it looks unlikely, but The Wired article below considers just how long Ticketmaster's hold will last.

And in other Ticketmaster related news, they have taken a step into the social world by allowing people to let their friends know when they have purchased tickets to a gig, with a simple click of the mouse. They've also incorporated Facebook Like options on their artist and venue pages.
