Making a mark with viral music videos

Following on from our blog earlier this week all about promoting your music via Facebook Video, this article examining if viral music videos makes an interesting read. You can make a great viral video, post it on YouTube and social networking sites, but if the song isn't equally as great will it translate into record sales? Not necessarily.

The obvious band to highlight in this case study is of course OK Go who have used the viral music video to their advantage and for whom, this method of promotion has turned out to be an invaluable tool.
