Deciding the future of the industry...

News: 15th June 2010 by Stef Loukes under Music Training & Careers

This article from The Irish Times focuses on a review from The Future of Music in a Digital Age conference held in Dublin Castle recently. The lectures touched on the power of technology and the overall impact it has had on the music industry, in both negative and positive contexts. One of the speakers on the day, Andrew Dubber believes that those who participate in the creation of music were involved in "seismic changes".

Naturally, there was no real answer to the question, and according to the Irish TImes, "...it's the creators and the consumers who will dictate the future of music and the pace of change in the digital world".
