According to a recent survey by NPD, iTunes now accounts for 28% of all music purchases. (Amazon and Walmart each contribute 12%). The NPD also states that Apple now control nearly 3/4 of all digital-music.

So why are some record labels still rejecting iTunes? This interesting article from Don Resinger at ipodnn looks at the issue from both angles, and how iTunes could actually work in favour of the labels, not against them.
